Hi there,

Researching a little into starting my own DIY juices. I love the thought of large stores of my fave juices on-hand without breaking the bank!
However, I'm just curious on where a lot of mixers get the components from.
I'm a fan of 100% VG and I understand that I might need some distilled water to cut the thickness a little (pending on the source of the VG).
I looked at the thread on the Boots VG and saw some mixed reactions (pardon the pun) on the quality.

What I'm more interested in is where I can find the most cost-effective quality for:

1. Nicotine (Prefer suspended in VG, but will accept PG if cheaper/better)

2. Bottles (Thinking of starting to make 30ml juices to start, then graduating to 50ml when I get more confident at mixing)

3. Syringes (Looking for some that won't have issue with nic degrading the plastics)

4. VG (100ml+ I'll pick up a bottle or two of the Boots Glycerin B.P, but interested in what else is out there)

I'd ask about flavourings, but I can see there's a lot of threads already made on personal favourites and a lot of good vendors out there that provide concentrates.
Feel free to throw your favourites out there, though. I'm interested in finding good pipe tobacco / berry concentrates.

Again, thank you for your time. I know this is a long list of questions to ask.

- 1. Nicotine (Prefer suspended in VG, but will accept PG if cheaper/better)
AG 72mg 7.2% nicotine base - Vapers Emporium UK Limited
"This base mix is made from pure Vegtable glycrine which is a very thick viscouse liquid and De minerlised then distilled water at a ratio of 90%VG and 10% Water so it is easier to mix in your recipes."

- 4. VG (100ml+ I'll pick up a bottle or two of the Boots Glycerin B.P, but interested in what else is out there)
classikool on eBay
Amazon also has a few sellers.

Thanks Muck777

Ordered the VG and nic from those vendors.
I also put a few of the syringes/blunt tip needles in my basket from Vaper's Emporium, so that fulfils question number 3 as well.

I bought a couple glass aromatherapy 30ml dripper bottles from NaturallyThinking
They're sterilized, but haven't been through a 'chemical wash'. Got 10 of 'em for £10 with shipping factored in.
Should be good for nic juices. My mother used to mix her own essential oil blends with bottles like this, so they shouldn't break down.

I guess now all I'm looking for is recipes and good concentrate vendors. It looks like this section of the forums is chok-full of those reviews.
Now what I have to do is spend some time going through them to find something I prefer. (Though, I'd still appreciate someone throwing in a pipe tobacco suggestion :))

I love this forum with the help and resources. You lot are truly wonderful people!

If you are looking for a concentrate supplier that has great selection of brands and flavours then I'd check out leisure liquids and chefs vapour. Both have loads to chose from, all top quality flavour houses and offer great customer service. They are a great starting place. You can also pick up syringes and measury things there too (at least at leisure liquids, can't remember whether chefs vapour do) :)

I'd suggest buying pre-mixed concentrates. While you can buy simple flavours, they are.... simple. If you buy a pre-mixed concentrate it should taste like the end product from the manufacturer.

I started a thread here.

As for pipe tabacco, prepare to be disappointed. I've tried a few tabaccos, and none of them are anything like real. Juice just doesn't seem to lend it's self to it. :(

Hi - I have only tried one sweet tobacco and that was nothing special. I did have the following link saved if I ever start making my own (still trying out commercial flavours first) which is a good description of tobacco flavour. It is american so ingredients may be harder to find here... I'd like to find a more bitter tobacco flavour but don't see much on offer.

Cheers for the links, guys.

I'm set to read up on mixing quite a bit before I set my mind on the first creation. Looks like you've given me a good starting platform. :grin2:

I gave up the syringes after a short time in favour of those little glass conical measuring thingies. Its just quicker to make bigger batches. If I can give you a tip about the syringes, either put sellotape or clear nail varnish over the numbers as they will wear off quickly. I opted for nic in pg because it keeps a lot longer than VG and have a freezer full of nic in pg that will keep me going for years. I read somewhere that VG only keeps for a year while pg is good for 10. Best of luck with the mixing. There's no going back once you find what works for you.

Sent from somewhere deep and dark in the mod making pit!
