First coil has no ohms?

I finally got my Kanthal wire and I tried making a coil. Coiled it, put the ends where they were supposed to go, and turned my device on to check the resistance. The device read that the coil had no resistance (3 blank lines). I tried again with a longer wire and more coils, same result. Does anyone have any ideas as to what could cause this?

What devise are you checking it on ? Sounds like the atty is not making contact with the mod's pin.

My K200. It gives you the resistance on-device while you're vaping.

Suggestions then, 1. what i said before, the contact pin on the atty not making contact with the contact pin on the mod. or 2. You might have wrapped a coil with a resistance lower than the devices safety cut out.
Make sure all your connections are good right through & if they are then it could be one of those two suggestions.

It was the atty not making contact. Shortly after figuring this out though, my atty broke. So now I get to find a new one.

Update:
My atty wasn't broken, just a lapse of judgement on my part- I forgot to put a part on in the reassembly. I finally got a coil at a consistent 2.6o, and it works pretty well. It disagrees with some of my e liquid, but loves some of the others.

Maybe try a lower resistance. 2.6 is a little high. Should be ok like with you vv device but you might get a better result nearer say, 1.5 - 2 ohm.
