I have just mixed my first ever juice. I was going for 10ml of a 50/50 mix with 8mg nic;
Nic 1.11ml
PG 2.44 ml
VG 4.44ml
Sweet Strawberry (Capella) 2ml (20%)

I vaped it about 15 mins after mixing. Throat hit is very good, perfect for me. Vaper production very good, a lot more than I've been getting from juices I've been buying. The all round vape is very good except the flavour. There's only a very slight hint of strawberry. Have i done the VG PG correct? I used the E juice me Up calculater. Thanx

Calculations are pretty close, on the calculator i use the final mix was 55% PG / 45% VG

50 / 50
VG - 5.0ml
PG - 1.9ml
Base Nic - 1.1ml (Presuming you use 72 nic)
Strawberry - 2.0ml

you dont mention if your nic is vg based or pg based...and I'll just assume it is pg based (more common)
we also dont knwo your nic's starting concentration....BUT...lets assume your nic is pg based (its more common)
and lets assume your flavours are pg based (also more common)....so everything is pg based, ecept for the vg...hence..

50:50
would be 5ml's vg of a 10ml bottle.
(as in my assumption, your other ingredients are pg based)
so it immediately looks wrong

better to state the nic as e.g 72mg pg based or 36mg pg based and then we can double check the figures

This is what was throwing me when I was doing the calculations. I'm using a starter kit from vapable.com but it doesn't say on the bottle what base the nic or flavours are. The nicotine is 72mg. I worked the calculations out assuming the nic was 50/50 and the flavouring was PG based. The flavour of the juice is quite good now. Not as strong as I thought it was going to be with 20% but better than most other strawberrys I've bought.

if the nicotine is similar to water in consistency, then its pg based
if it is similar to a custard/almost joyghurt in consistency, then it is vg based
it wont be 50:50 based. well...99.999% sure of that.
same with the flavours...if you can drip it/pour it, it'll be pg based

If it was 50/50 there would be no need for the PG or VG in the mixing kit as you could just add flavour, it would be a higher final PG mix though.

Im pretty certain it would be PG base nic as above what was said.

Yes there both more of a watery consistency so they must be PG. I'll try it again knowing that now. Hopefully it will produce more flavor, that's all it's missing. Thanx for the help

You may have to steep it a while it will bring out the flavour more

Yeah leave it a week and come back to it, juices need time to 'develop'. Ideally 2 weeks is a good starting point before trying juice, I'm an impatient sod so it's killing me waiting for juices to ripen ;)

Haha, ye I'm impatient aswell. I'm happy enough with it now but I've just made some more so ill leave that for aslong as I can. I also made a blackcurrent and a blackcurrent and Orange. I'm going to order some more flavors to do some more experimenting.
