Just given the eGo-C Twist a go (this one - http://www.esmokeuk.co.uk/shop/article_70-001/EGO-Twist-CE4-Single-1100-Mah.html) and wow, that's a bit more like it!! That's completely different to the cigalikes, so much more taste off the juice.

Got a question though, I'm getting a bit of a crackling noise when I use it, seeing as it's my first go and I don't know any different, is that a normal thing or am I doing something wrong? Not getting huge amounts of vapour either but the throat hit is good. Using a 50/50 pg/vg mix.

Edited to add: actually it's more like a crackling and spitting noise

Abit of fizzing and popping is quite normal and I find it quite reassuring. I used to like the noises my boges and ce2s made. There is a huge difference between proper batteries and cigs likes. Whilst there are some good ones out there, I'm sure poor cigalikes are a major reason for people nt getting vaping

Thank you! Phew, thought I was doing it wrong for a minute. You're not wrong about the difference between this and a cigalike, I'm using the same juice that I've been refilling the cigalikes with and it tastes about ten times stronger! Now I can really see the point of different flavours because on the cigalike it was so weak I wasn't sure there would be much point experimenting. Hmm, I can see me spending the evening ordering juices now!!

Thanks for the reassurance, I feel like a bit of a dunce at times!

Cigalikes was my starting point thought I would save money now I spend it all on vaping (poor again ). Like said above the crackling and popping is a normal part in fact I do feel the more the better unless its a hotspot .

I should warn you though, you're on a slippery slope! I bought a twist.... Than a torpedo... Then a lavatube, them a vamo.. Well, you get the gist
