First time rta advice to get me started

Hi guys been watching videos for a while as this will be my first delve into rta etc. And like the top airflow rta (no leak). Thinking probably a duel coil engine 2 or zeus. I want to make my own coils but find buying wire a bit of a headache.

So just a few questions if i may:

Any experience with the engine 2 and some good wire recommendations would be great. number of coils and inner diameter etc

I used to buy some pistachio juice but cant seem to find it anyone know of any?

Obs engine 2 seems to come with 5ml tank so will i have any probs getting hold of in uk?

I have never used an OBS Engine 2, but OBS have a good reputation. You'd have to buy it from overseas if you want the 5ml version. But buying from FastTech using UK e-Packet delivery should see it with you inside 10 days.

As for wire, I'd suggest that you bought a sample pack of pre-made coils first. You can get a 48 pack for around a fiver, it'll come with 6 of 8 different types of coil, so should give you a fair idea of what you like. Muji or Labo Puff are great for cotton, you can get a nice big bag for not very much. Branded 'Vape Cotton' is a bit of a rip off IMHO. I have been doing it this way for over a year and only now getting an idea of which coils work best for me.

I have been looking at the intake from augvape, top air flow leak proof system, it sucks air in at the top and channels it to come out under the coil, i like the look of the blue one. 4.2ml or 2.5ml tank from china probs only the smaller tank if bought in UK.

Personally, I'd say swerve the Engine 2. Zeus dual or Manta if you want dual coil. Or the Crius 2 is an awesome single coil rta.

Pick up some 25ga brochrome.

Engine 2 I find has a bit of a fiddly deck for a first time build, I don't know that I'd recommend it for that reason alone.

And order from fasttech to get around the 2ml nonsense.

I always liked the obs engine nano until I bought the crius 2. Crius is way better for flavour.

I ordered 25ga Ni80 flat wire(Mits recomendation on another post as no 25 gauge brochrome left) to make coils.
A few premade's that are .15 - .2 Ohms stainless and kanthal, incase I mess up.
Ordered the zeus 2 and the engine 2 so will see what is better.
Also ordered the coil master v3 kit.
@Mitz Will the same wire build suitable coils for the zeus 2 that you advised for the engine 2?

Yeah, absolutely. I have both those tanks and use 25ga flat in both. Fantastic wire. Easy to build with and gives great flavour.
