Picked up my IPV D3 yesterday as I was going out and it's my out and about mod - hmm the battery is so dead that it won't turn on? That's funny as there was at least half a charge in that battery? New battery in and I test to make sure it's working again, all fine.

Took about three steps out the front door and got a funny burning smell, immediately dived for my inside pocket and the mod was smoking like buggery out the vent holes and it was very warm - managed to pull the battery and unscrew the atty and thankfully there was no damage to either or the battery it flattened, but the screen is totally burnt out and it stinks.

Never been dropped or charged on board, no leaks of juice etc - just flattened a battery over a day of non use and fried itself with the next battery fitted. Pity as I loved that mod. Anybody want a fecked IPV D3 with fetching green and white carbon wrap?

I often leave my device in my car whilst I'm detecting and have a vape when I take a break. Been questioning my wisdom, or lack of, doing that just lately. This just made me rethink it and it's coming with me now.
