When using more than one flavouring, is there an optimal level of flavours you can include in the mix? Some of my mixes are 1 flavour @ 15% some have 3 for 25% of the total mix. Can I use more i.e. 2 x flavours @ 15% each and 1 @ 5% of the total mix?

I heard somewhere that you shouldn't use more than 20% flavour (I think it was something to do with decadent vapours, but might not have been!), but I don't know why that is. I try to stick to it though so just work out which flavour I want to be most do inner.

If the flavours are decent, you shouldn't need more than 20% (10% is sufficient with many of the Nanny Bakes range) - but the exact ratio and how you split it between flavours is entirely up to you - that's the fun of mixing

Depends on the flavours, e.g. Inawera are typically used at 3-5% while others in the 15-20% range. The PG/VG ratio also affects it, high VG juices need more flavour.

The only problem with using more of a given flavour is that at higher concentrations some flavours can taste unpleasant

Hi @ Mrdazjones there are no hard and fast rules with flavour percentages. The highest I generally go is around 20%, if was using a lot more than that I would start to question the quality of the concentrates I was working with. Out of interest what concentrates are you mixing with?

Most concentrates are PG based, so it depends if you are working with PG or VG based nicotine and what strength nicotine you are using and also what PG/VG ratio you are aiming at as to whether a high percentage of PG based concentrate will affect the desired result. For example if you were trying to mix a 12mg, 50% VG, 50% PG e-juice and you were using anything less than a 60mg PG nicotine base with anything more than 30% PG based flavour it would be impossible to mix.

Sorry for the long winded reply and I hope it made sense. In short, use whatever tastes good to you.
