Flawless Tuglyfe Tugboat DNA 75w Box Mod - £122.99
Flawless Tuglyfe Tugboat DNA 75w Box Mod
The DNA 75 is a power regulated digital switch-mode DC-DC converter for personal vaporizers. It features Evolv’s patented Wattage Control, Patent Pending Temperature Protection, Preheat, Digital User Controls, OLED Screen, Onboard Buttons and Synchronous Rectification for maximum battery life and minimal heat generation. The DNA 75 runs from a single cell lithium polymer battery. The USB port and Evolv’s EScribe software can be used to monitor and customize the user experience. The DNA 75 is vaping down to a science.
Meet the Evolv DNA 75 by Raymond Padilla
The DNA 75 is Evolv’s latest temperature-control variable-wattage EScribe-compatible chipset. If you’re not familiar with Evolv, the company is an industry pioneer that’s known for creating variable-wattage vaping and for producing some of the highest-quality chips in the business. The most obvious difference between the DNA 75 and its predecessor, the venerable DNA 200, is its output. As the respective names imply, the DNA 75 runs as high as 75 watts, while the DNA 200 can hit as high as 200 watts. The newer chip does have some subtle differences from the DNA 200 that could make it the best choice for you. To help you learn about the chip, I linked up with Evolv president Brandon Ward to get the story straight from the creator.
Why the DNA 75 created

From a superficial standpoint, some vapers that see the names DNA 200 and DNA 75 will erroneously assume that the latter is worse. Some will wonder why Evolv followed a groundbreaking chip with a less powerful model. While the DNA 75 doesn’t have as high an output as the older chip, it’s less expensive and capable of providing power that will satisfy most vapers.
First and foremost, the DNA 75 was designed to be a less expensive alternative to the DNA 200. We were aware that the typical DNA 200 vaper was not exceeding 75 watts. We also saw the need for a single-battery offering with EScribe capabilities. The DNA 75 was our attempt to bring all of the features and functionality of an Evolv EScribe mod to the broader mass market.
– Brandon Ward, Evolv
Even though it’s less expensive, the chip is extremely versatile. As Ward emphasized, it’s EScribe compatible. The software can be used to update firmware, tweak battery settings, set temperature coefficient of resistance (TCR) values, customize a mod’s homescreen, set up profiles for different atomizers, and more. While the chip is powerful and versatile on its own, EScribe takes its functionality to another level. It’s fantastic that the DNA75 gives vapers this level of power at a lower price.

Differences between DNA 200 and DNA 75
Evolv DNA 75 specs
As I mentioned earlier, there are some subtle differences between the two Evolv chips. They operate with different efficiencies and are optimized for different setups. In fact, for vapers that don’t require more than 75 watts, the DNA75 could be the better choice.
The DNA 75 control structure is slightly different, which results in better temperature control with stainless coils. The board was designed with 18650s in mind; it holds a more accurate output at weaker battery states than our previous boards. It also uses a separate charging chip, but doesn’t give the user as many charging control options in EScribe. It’s a little shorter than the DNA 200 and includes a programmable multicolor LED (disco light).
– Brandon Ward, Evolv
If the disco light doesn’t sell you then I don’t know what will…. More seriously, vapers use lithium-ion 18650 batteries more than lithium-polymer packs. They’re still, by far, the most common battery for enthusiast vapers. That the DNA 75 was designed with this battery type in mind will appeal to many vapers. Additionally, stainless steel coils have been gaining popularity. Vapers that want the best temperature control for that wire material will want to consider this chip.
DNA 75: what’s in it for vapers
The bottom line for vapers is that the DNA 75 is a powerful and versatile chip that’s less expensive than its predecessor. The end result is that more people will have access to Evolv’s superior technology, since the mods will be more affordable.
The DNA 75 is manufactured in the USA. It’s an integrated all-in-one board with unparalleled safety features and accuracy. It offers Evolv technology and EScribe capability at a lower price than its big brother.
– Brandon Ward, Evolv
The chip is especially appealing if you use 18650 batteries and stainless steel wire or replaceable atomizers heads with stainless steel coils. It’s also a great choice if you prefer smaller, single-battery box-mods. As Ward mentioned, it’s also one of the safest and most accurate chips on the market. Evolv has been so synonymous with safety and accuracy that some vapers take these vital features for granted. At the end of the day, your DNA75 mod will perform precisely and shouldn’t blow up like a Samsung Galaxy S7.
