Hi,

I'm working for a food factory that has a spare bottle of glycerine. On the ingredients it says 100% vegetable glycerine. Would this be safe to use when mixing and vaping?

Thanks
Ben

As my poor confused brain cell remembers food grade glycerin is allowed to have more impurities than pharmaceutical grade. I think it is somewhere along the lines of food grade can be 92% pure while pharma grade must be at least 99% pure.

In reality an awful lot of food grade glycerin is in fact pure enough to be pharma grade but it just isn't tested. The problem comes in how do you tell?

Officially Food grade is ONLY safe for ingestion and not for inhalation.

Hey there coley4mufc think most of us mix using pharma grade... I stock up on boots own as tis very cheap.. there may be some sort of risk with food grade but as flavouring etc is food grade and doesn't have an equivalent pharma grade... it's basically going to come down to your personal feelings regards any possible contaminants in the food grade stuff... suspect there is a pretty low but slightly elevated risk compared to pharma grade... for most of us pharma grade is easier to get hold of... and possibly actually cheaper as we generally only see what is available locally in chemists or supermarkets. .. personally I would probably use it as the risk will still be much less than smoking but we all draw that lone differently. ..
