The Maxpod circle is FreeMax`s latest edition to their range of pods, a simple plug and play device, ideal for new vapers looking for a quick nic fix, really simple to use.

I believe its made from steel and zinc alloy so it has a fair bit of weight to it 65.5g without the pod and 70g with pod installed, feels comfortable in the hand just sits in your palm nicely and not to bad for the pocket either.

The front of the pod has the FreeMax logo and thats it on the rear is a small LED light which indicates battery life

To power the device on and off its the usual 5 clicks and as this is the only button it also acts as the fire button.

Powered by the FM chip it has a 550 mAh inbuilt battery which gives you a 3.7 volt constant output with an output of 10 watts, the pods themselves are made from PCTG high food grade plastic to prevent shattering with certain juices citrus aniseed etc and are transparent but not 100% clear making it easy to see the juice level in normal light but in lower lighting its a bit of a struggle, Pods themselves hold 2ml of juice are reuseable but throw away so no coils to install after a few refills FreeMax say between 6-8 refills and i found flavour dying off after 6 refills with the nicsalts i was using and felt it was time to replace with a new pod, im now on my 2nd pod with some 18mg freebase and the 8th refill and flavour still seems pretty good , FreeMax say you get 200 puffs to a full pod which seems reasonable, as far as im aware the only pod available is 1.5 ohm which is ideal for nic salts up to 50mg and freebase up to 18mg.

Filling the pod is a fairly simple affair you will feel a little flap just under the mouthpiece to get your nail behind in order to pop out the silicone bung which is pretty fiddly if you havent got much of a nail took me a couple of attempts first time round, the fill hole is pretty reasonable on a pod of this size but all i have used is 10ml bottles of salts and freebase however some shortfill nozzles may fit, tilt the pod to allow juice to flow around the coil reseat the bung and leave for a few mins to soak in, drop the pod into place (white light will flash once) and it snaps down being held securely with 2 magnets, when removing the pod white light will flash 3 times, the pod can be either button or draw activated but has to be powered on for draw activation to work, with the fire button being so small after a while of using it i ended up just using draw activation as i got fed up of feeling round the edge of the pod trying to find the fire button, this is the only drawback i could find however the draw activation is as responsive as the button fire, personally i feel this should just be a draw activated device like its predecessor the Maxpod.

Coils use FreeMax`s SaltCoilTech 2.0 with honeycomb mesh with Tea Fibre cotton 66.66% and Organic cotton 33.34% which give superb flavour.

When taking a puff on the device the Led light will light up showing battery life remaining green - blue - red.

Micro USB is at the base of the device and has to be charged lying down as there is no way of keeping the device on its side being circular, when charging a small LED light will pulse on the rear indicating battery charge Red 0 - 27% Blue 28 -70% Green 71 -100% Light off device is fully charged, but does not support pass through charging. Battery life is good lasted me the whole day but had to charge early evening which takes a little over an hour.

Again no leaks or dry hits whatsoever from the coil which is a staple from Freemax

Using some 20 mg Frukt Cyder Mango Raspberry nic salts pods gave outstanding flavour and a nice medium to tight draw with a really good throat hit and produced a good amount of vapor

Freebase i used was some 18mg squirrel food from @StrawberryRipple Ripple this was again superb flavour and the pod is still giving good flavour on the 8th refill with an excellent throat hit

Pros

Simple to use
Great flavour
Good battery life

Cons

Really small fire button awkward to find
Cannot stand device up whilst charging
Disposeable pods

Thanks for the review mate. Not sure about the looks personally, but it seems to perform well.

Great review mate. I quite like that there's an option to use the button or draw activate. I'd be the same as you though and just sack the button off.

Great review bud, matches up with what I thought of it. Love the photobomber in the first pic!
