Just got a litre from DS and chucked it straight in the freezer is this ok?

Yup, but I split mine into smaller bottles so that I can take a small amount out at a time so that there isnt too much air on top of a used bottle when its in the fridge.

Yes no problems, the nicotine doesn't actually freeze but I've done the same as @mick brown I bought a few 200 ml brown chilproof brown glass bottles from my local boots and decanted the nicotine only as I've heard that the more air you have in the bottles it degrades quicker so I can fill them right to the brim.

cheers

Aren't their 1 litre bottles plastic? That would be ok in the relatively short term, but if you're looking to store it long term it's better in (amber) glass, as far as I understand it, so chemical breakdown of the plastic doesn't see it leak into the liquid. Probably no biggie, just what I've read.

My last 500 ml bought from darkstar was in a amber glass bottle.

Is the right answer @Mr Numpty
A couple of days ago I bunged my litre plastic bottle of DS nic in the freezer unopened because I ain't got time to start farting about mixing at the moment, and I've got loads of vapable juice that needs seeing off.
I got panicked into buying the nic by all the other TPD fearing people on various forums.
We've got a spare fridge/freezer but this gets used in the run up to Christmas and when I mentioned getting a dozen glass bottles (only little I said) I got the evil eye.
I will get some smaller glass bottles, probably from Baldwins, but I can't understand what the options on different top caps are all about.

Think the fears of plastic chemicals leaking in to the nic are overstated tbh. How long is the shelf life in plastic drinks bottles ?

Yeah its a plastic bottle probably won't touch it for 6 month. So there is a danger that the plastic will some how seep into the nic base? Is this proven or just scare mongering?

Amber glass bottles, minimal amount of air at the top - these are the recommendations which are considered ideal for LONG TERM storage ... like 5-10 years.
If you're going to use it within the next 12 months (that is short term) then keeping it in a plastic bottle in a cool, dark place should be good enough. Refridgerating some or all of it would be a bit better, keeping it in glass rather than plastic would be a bit better again.

Chucking it in a freezer because you don't know exactly when you'll need to use it sounds good to me. It'll keep for years that way.
