HI all,

I'm still very new to mixing (about 2 weeks) and I'm still on the looking for the perfect fruity/berry & mint/menthol recipe. I currently buy capella flavour drops from The Alchemist's Cupboard. I currently mix about 60/40 VG/PG.

Has anyone got a good recipe or tips for this sort of thing?

Thanks!

JJ

Hi JJ, I tend to add 10% fruit and 5% peppermint with 5 drops of menthol per 10ml to my usual base. I don't like very sweet tastes, so I find the best fruit to use is raspberry. Pineapple, sweet tangerine [Capella], blueberry, cherry and cranberry also work well for me. I'm just about to try apple, pear, and watermelon when I have a mixing session this weekend. I tend to make my juices 6 weeks to 2 months ahead, so they are all nicely steeped by the time I come to vape them. I tend to use Flavor West concentrates, but also use Capella, TPA and F'Art. I make up my menthol from 5mg of menthol crystals dissolved in 30ml PG. I get the menthol crystals from Tesco Pharmacy or other chemists. I suppose you could use Koolada, but I prefer the throat hit from the peppermint/menthol combo, as I am a MTL style vaper. I prefer to use drops as the measurement for menthol as it taints syringes.
Best thing to do is mix up 5ml samples in different ratios and flavours and see what you prefer. Don't forget to label and make notes though, so you can replicate the ones you like!
