FT Kraken dismantle woes.

Can I for the life of me get the air control lump off of the kraken?
Any advice?

take the top cover off and hit it out from the inside with something blunt (piece of wood, a stick etc) and a hammer

Should it be that hard to get it off? I did try wedging a pen in there and bashing it on the desk and it didn't move.
Timber and a lump hammer next :-)

Not nomally TBH, but then my top cap on mine was nigh on impossible to get on or off so I carved up the orings a little which were a fraction too large - that could be the case with your airflow cap. They are on tight, but not so tight you can't easily pry them up without damaging the top cap usually.

I just removed the bottom o ring makes the AFC nicer to use, and easier to get off next time

I inserted a jewel screwdriver through the drip tip hole and a big screwdriver through the base section...then pulled on the jewel screwdriver with molegrips.

Once apart I removed both o-rings, coated them in juice and reassembled. The thing rotates freely now and comes apart easily by hand.
