Hi all I'm new to vaping and I've bought the G Priv baby along with the nautilus 2 tank with 0.7 coils. I've got it set at 19 watts as the recommended is 18-24w I think. I've had 3 coils in the nautilus since last night I've been priming them, letting them sit but they just seem to taste burnt. On the mod it's set to 19w but I've noticed in the TC mode it says preheat to 60w. The TC mode is off so I'm not sure if the mod is still preheating to 60w which is obviously way to high and burning the coil out straight away or because TC mode is off that's nothing to do with it. I'm new to vaping and don't have a clue thanks.

Hi and welcome to the forum [emoji4] it could be the juice your using if it's the wrong ratio or overly sweet so what juice you using?

Something to look out for with the g-priv is to always have the screen lock on. If not your hands will cause the temperature to shoot up, I've had several 220 watt vapes and don't recommend them.

Yeah that's happened to me on one occasion wasn't pleasant lol. But nothing I seem to be doing is helping. It's not every time I vape either is maybe one vape out of 10 that tastes discusting. I thought if the coil was knackered it's knackered and it would constantly tatse nasty so I don't know what I'm doing wrong.

Welcome aboard. I'm not overly familiar with Smok mods, but does it say 'soft' 'normal' or 'standard' or 'hard' on the screen somewhere when it's in power mode?

Are you chain vaping and not giving the coil long enough to rewick? It might be worth slowing down a bit and allow the coil to catch up.

Try it in soft mode, I believe it heats at a slightly slower rate.
