Hello lovelies.
I've got a few GD and Siam Drip Tips up for swapsies - I'm not exactly sure which tip comes from the hand of which master crasftsman, but they are all rather lovely.
I'm specifically looking for tips like the one below, or anything in a similar vein - the colour and shape appeals to my delicate sensibilities. And yes, that is a glow-in-the-dark Siam, but the glowing bit isn't the most important factor.
If it's white, light-coloured, pale-coloured or subtle I',m probably going to be interested in it. If it's bright and colourful, it's not what I'm looking for now - been there, done that, etc.
Shape-wise, I'm after classic vases with thin lips (see my yellow one for an example of that) or straight-ish tips.
Not looking to sell at this time and more than happy to discuss swaps over PM as I appreciate some people don't like making others aware of what they have stashed away.
Anyway, on with the show!
First up we have a gorgeous yellow vase with some stunning white and black lines running through it. Almost translucent in parts with other areas having a metallic sheen and sparkle to them, this comes alive in the sun and looks stunning. It's my favourite shape but the colour just doesn't work with the outfits I'm wearing this season.
Next we have a rather vibrant little number which I believe is made from a pen blank and looks like something that you'd seen in the MOMA or similar. Very intricate and very colourful and totally not me.
Now, this one is a really special tip. If it was in a different shape I'd have it locked away out of sight of prying eyes, never to be seen again and only used in private. In some light it looks like stabilised wood with a lovely grain and in other lights the golden sparkle/sheen comes alive and looks exactly like Tiger's Eye.
This is another one that I'd be keeping hidden away if it was a different shape - I love the top, but I'm not a fan of a flat bottom... Anyway, this one is a deep metallic purple and a right sod to photograph. In some light it looks like a dark metallic aubergine and in others it's full of different purples and glimmers away rather spectacularly.
Here we have a cheeky little red number which features all manner of interesting shapes and textures in the material. How do they get those spots of material inside the other material?! Anyway, this is a great tip with a lovely shape and really interesting colours - some of the red is translucent, some is solid and there's a metallic sheen to areas as well. Loves the light, this one.
And last, but by no means least, we have this stumpy little wide-bore blue number. Made from a slightly translucent material with little bubbles of darker colour running throughout, this is another tip that changes its look depending on the abundance and type of light hitting it. If it was normal-bore it would be a keeper, but it's not, so it isn't.
PS. All are normal-bore unless specifically stated otherwise.
