An odd thing happened.

I was among the first wave to take up vaping. Blue foam, all that.

After a fair bit of experimentation, I found a happy place with the Boge 510 cartomizers. Spent three or four years vaping on them. But recently I noticed they'd exhaust after a single day of use. I needed a new solution.

So, I get back into the vaping community. And boy, has it moved on. Clearomizers? Tanks? All those juice stores? Felt like I'd emerged from deep freeze. After spending a few days catching up I got myself a Protank Mini 3. It feels like a gargantuan upgrade.

Anyway, that's my story.

Glad to be a part of PotV, for the name if nothing else.

Things has moved on abit though. I'm just coming up to the 3 year mark myself and the change in the last year has been crazy. What other gear are you using and what juice tickles your tastebuds these days?

I still have my old Mega Tornado battery. It's not sexy, but remains rock solid. I'm looking into getting a Vision Spinner or Ego-C Twist instead though. And I guess like many, I get a slight twitch whenever I see a Provari Mini...

I used a menthol ice flavour for years in the old Boges. Not a great flavour, but its coldness countered the heat of the cartos well. The clear vape of the Protank tells me it is time to try new flavours. I looked around a bit and it seems that Snake Oil and Grant's Vanilla Custard seem like THE place to start.

There was a bit of disappointment today as I found my Minitank coil gave out after 24 hours of use. Hopefully the next one will do better. I'm really looking for something that can hold up for at least five days before needing a change.

The quest continues.

It was rough.

Vendors briefly did big business by selling bags of pre-cut squares of blue foam. You'd soak them in e-liquid, stuff them into your cartridge (back in the three-piece models).

If you didn't have a drawer full of atomisers, foam, tweezers, and dedicated towels, then you were semi-pro at best.

Oh Miss Pepper, you truly haven't lived if you haven't experienced the pure joy of a perfectly cut block of fluval! I never did try the teabag method but heard it gave a pretty killer vape! urbanguerilla I was a long liver of the trusty boge until I ordered a bigger batch and over half were duds. That's when I decided to try rebuildable tanks and I haven't looked back. Now the only thing that fails is my build skills and even that isn't really a problem with a bit of practice
