Geekvape Soul Pod Kit

I bought a violet one of these for my wife for her handbag when she’s out and about as her Pockex has seen better days. There don’t seem to be many reviews of it so here’s a brief one for anyone interested.

What’s in the box

It’s a different design to most pod kits and a tad chunkier but is still pocket friendly and light. Top air flow should make leaking less likely plus there’s no issue with covering the air flow. The top cover gives it an elegant and clean look, it feels well made and finished, is comfy in the hand and the fire button is nicely positioned, branding is limited to GEEKVAPE on both sides. The side with the fire button, screen and charging port has a mirror finish that runs around the top of the cover and the base, the base has a rubber like non-slip insert so it’s pretty stable. The screen is on the large size for what is actually displayed on it, it goes off after a brief period of inactivity and is barely readable outdoors. The pods are held firmly and securely by magnets as is the cover with a pod inserted, replacements come with a drip tip which is a nice touch. The battery capacity is good and it charges quickly, the screen displays a progress bar but it goes off before it’s fully charged so you have to press the fire button to check.

It’s very easy to use, the settings are retained when turned off.
  • 5 clicks turns it on/off.
  • 4 clicks locks/unlocks the fire button and wattage adjustment.
  • 3 clicks to adjust the wattage, press to increase by 1 watt or hold to scroll, it will round robin when if hits the maximum permitted for the coil,
  • 2 clicks and 1 press resets the puff counter or if reset restores the previous value.
  • A puff duration is displayed when vaping but it’s so briefly you’ll only see it if you press the fire button when looking at the screen.
Filing & Vaping
Filling the pod is straightforward via the rubber plug in or out of the mod, the juice level is clearly visible but is less easy to see through the cover windows. Both inhale and button activation work well, it makes a slight buzzing noise when fired. The airflow wheel has 4 small holes and fully open is quite airy but delivers a good mtl draw closed down, the drip tip is comfy. A 50/50 NET in the 1ohm pod at 9w produced nice flavour with a smooth mtl draw with no leaking or condensation issues over 5 days.

Final Thoughts
This one is really all about the looks with an elegant design that sets it apart from the typical pod kit, is very easy to use, delivers nice flavour, is light and well made. It has a few niggles, the slight buzzing when vaping, it’s not obvious when it’s recharged and only 2 resistances are available. I’m glad to say she’s likes the design, ease of use, a drip tip and a fire button, me too.
