Having owned this tank for the last couple of days and messing with it as you do, I have found a few tricks to save headaches along the line. It is IMO an amazing tank, I have upgraded from my very well beloved billow V2's.
Stiff juice control ring
When doing a build or re-wicking, it is in our nature to screw a chimney on, then put the tank over it and tighten. DON'T do this with the Goliath V2.
It is possible to fill this tank from the top. Follow these steps:
I hope that helps fellow GV2 owners, if you have any other tips, please do share below
Stiff juice control ring
When doing a build or re-wicking, it is in our nature to screw a chimney on, then put the tank over it and tighten. DON'T do this with the Goliath V2.
- Assemble the rest of the tank, including the chimney before covering the deck. Ensure that the juice control is in the 'off' postition i.e. where the small heart beat lines are.
- When you screw the remainder of the tank down, make sure you tighten with the top of it, i.e. the part with the drip tip attached. If you screw it down (again 2nd nature) with the bottom part of the tank, you won't be able to turn the juice control ring and it will be a bitch to open again when you need to fill/rewick.
It is possible to fill this tank from the top. Follow these steps:
- Close off the juice control.
- Unscrew the top of the tank, holding the remaining tank (easier if your mod is on a flat surface). The glass will stay put on the bottom o-ring, just make sure you don't knock it as it will come off. It is quite firmly seated though.
- Fill the tank, about .5 centimetres below the top small black o-ring
- Screw the top back on slowly
- Turn the tank upside down and open the juice control.
