Good News - My shiney new Vamo V2 has arrived!! Bad News - My eliquid order has not!!!! So I'm trying to distract myself with research / retail therapy.....

I'm not a very organised person and feel that I need a couple of spare batteries. What are the best batteries for a Vamo V2?

The one's that came with the kit are grey, rechargable ICR18350 3.7v 900mAh, made by D.K.I. Battery Company, Shenzhen, China. Are they good batteries?

I am also concerned that the charger has a funny plug configuration! There are two flat metal pins that have to be connected to a 2 pin plug, that then needs to be connected to a 3 pin plug. I guess its the Chinese plug system being converted to the European plug system which in turn needs converting to the English plug!!! Is this safe?

So I guess I'm asking:

1. Which are the best batteries to buy to use with a Vamo V2?

2. Is my new charger ok or should I buy a new one?

3. If I buy new batteries, do I have to buy a new charger specific to them?

Sorry, I hope this makes sense, I'm new to Vaping and new to electicery,

hi blossom

most always suggest to buy the body only for certain mods due to problems like this with chargers etc

batteries should be fine but no harm in having spares

i use these...efest 18350 flat tops

and either an xtar or nitecore are the best chargers around

this nitecore is the cheapest price i can find for it

BUT one of the frustrating things i find is trying to get the best deals ALL from the same supplier and save on postage :(

give me 10 mins and ill try find more for you :)

Hi Blossom

That sounds suspiciously identical to the kit I bought for a colleague on Tuesday.

Gave it to him Wednesday. He made into work Thursday and today, so so far, so good :D

Whilst it is nice to have branded gubbins that are well known and trusted, any dog can bite you on it's day.

Virtually everything I own battery and charger wise is generic toot that came in kits, and has all lasted me perfectly well so far with no issues whatsoever.

If budget allows, go nuts. If not, I certainly wouldn't panic :D

Okey Dokey,

This is all personal and subjective. But I did the following: -

1. Best Batteries, I purchased a couple of these: -

http://www.stealthvape.co.uk/ecig-batteries-chargers/AW-IMR-3.7v-18650-2000mah

Excellent batteries, but now considering one of these purely for thge Vamo: -

http://www.stealthvape.co.uk/ecig-batteries-chargers/AW-Protected-3.7v-18650-3100mah

**Please Note: They are 18650 batteries, so cannot be used in short mode, but I found the little 18350 that came with it (The same as yours) to be ok. I did purchase 1 x 18350, but didnt find any improvemnt, so went as a swap after using it once. **

I also purchased this charger, as I didnt really want to use the one that came with it :(

http://www.stealthvape.co.uk/ecig-b...battery-chargers/Xtar-WP2-II-WITH-CAR-CHARGER

Whilst it is awesome, and does exactly what it says on the tin, I am now considering one of these: -

http://marketplace.planetofthevapes...rs/sysmax-nitecore-i2-lithium-battery-charger

or

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Nitecore-...d_Vision_Battery_Chargers&hash=item43b9bad69e

The reason why I changed the charger was purely because I wanted a little more peace of mind, and there is probably no issues with these chargers, as I gave mine away to $upermac and have heard no bad news about it :)

Just another tip, dont use Panasonic 18650 3400mAh batteries in a Vamo, as they dont work!!

Hi and thanks for all your replies,

I may be getting ahead of myself, because I've just charged up the batteries, put them in the Vamo and....... nothing???

I've pressed the button 5 times, in fact I've taken the battery out, put it in again, put both of them in again, pressed all the buttons 5 times and still nothing!

Well, whilst tightening up the end cap, a couple of times the lights have flashed, but this is when the end cap is only partially on?

I shall go and watch a couple of videos on these to see if I can find out what I am doing wrong...

Thanks for the advice so far, I'm sure I'll be back!!

The vamo "5 click" is not an exact science.

Sometimes can be closer to 7 or 8.

Imagine you've tried that, but just to be on the safe side, as I know many people who will stick to the prescribed number rather than tinker :D

The fact the lights flicker when the end cap touches is encouraging, so hopefully that's all it is.

Ahhhhhh..... Panic over, I think I was clicking too slowly!!!

I have the vague feeling that I'm not smart enough to play with this technology.... but I'm determined to keep trying.

Now, if only I had some liquid..... back to the shopping again.

I appreciate your help
