Just a quick one, but I've settled for Ti for the time being (ticking all the boxes, don't have to build massive coils).

Trouble is, it gunks up rather quickly. Juice in question is 50/50 Pow-Wow. I've re-wicked (its only been a coule of days), but I've no idea about how to clean the coils. Do they just need a rip-out and replace? I've read @Tubbyengineer 's guide, but I'm extremely wary of heating this at all without wick and juice.

TL:DR; is there any way to clean a Ti coil without having to replace it? I'm used to the burn, quench, scrub, burn, quench , scrub of Kanthal. Some Kanthal builds have been in the RDAs for months (re-wicked, of course).

Any and all help always appreciated. It's not a great loss having to wrap a new coil, just a bit footery seeing as Ti likes to do it's own thing just as you seem to have the damn thing perfect.

I'd just put a new coil in. You could try an alcohol soak, but trying to burn the crud off Ti is asking for trouble. It might be robust enough for a gentle scrub with a soft toothbrush. I generally generally just re-coil whenever I put new wicks in, but I use NiFe wires and they're usually easier to replace than to clean.

Ya, was my sentiments too. New coil done and in. Far less faff and you get that "new coil taste". Cheers but, was just interested in what others do with the old 'uns. Much apprciado.
