Hi folks! I'm new to the forum and relatively new to vaping. Been smoking 30+ years, quit with a cig-a-like a month ago, but it just wasn't 'enough' somehow, and I was veering back towards the dreaded weed....! Last week I literally stumbled upon a FlavourVapour shop, and on a bit of a whim spent a fair amount of money and came out with a sparkly purple thingy that does the job. I *think* it's a CE5+...! (Why can't I create a new paragraph?!!) Anyway, a week in and I can't think of anything worse than smoking a real fag now, so I guess it's pretty good for me (Still can't start a new paragraph...maybe that should be my first question?!) In fact my first question is VERY basic- I'm not technically minded, I don't really understand the whole cartomizers, clearomizers etc thing, and frankly, don't really feel the need to just yet, but what I DO need to know, is can I use 'other brands' of e-liquid in my device? The shop is a fair way from me, I'd like to buy online and I'd like to try some of the other brands, but don't want to spend money if other e-liquids won't work in my thingy! Thanks in advance for any replies to what I'm sure is a REALLY basic question... and if anyone wants to enlighten me on the paragraph question too....!

Firstly I take it your using internet explorer 10 that's whats causing your issue.. try clicking the compatibility thing at the top of the page in the address bar that might work

Also congrats on the switch to vaping... We have a few wiki's and how to's on the forum which will help you out

I've tried the compatibility thing at the top, and couldn't post at all having done that... but seem to be able to create paragraphs in 'reply' so that'll do for now!

I've also tried reading the wiki's and how to's...and just got REALLY confused with the abbreviations... I'd use the excuse of being blonde, but sadly I have to confess, it's grey

I'm sure someone will come along and be able to answer soon, meanwhile, I'll continue to drool over various other vendor's flavours!

E-liquids come in a variety of different ways and you can use most in the CE5+ that you have

Only thing to watch for is what we call 'tank crackers', have a look at this and here we have the Marketplace choices

CLEAROMIZERs , clearo's, or CLEAROTANKS. These tanks use string-like wicks that feed e-liquid to an atomizer head. The heads with wicks are replaceable (rebuildable) in some of these clearomizers, so when the original head dies, it can be exchanged with replaceable coil heads available from a vendor. These clearomizers can be ​top or bottom coiled for a different vaping experience.

CARTOMIZERS or carto's are steel tubes filled with polyfiber that looks like a cigarette filter. A heating coil within this material heats e-liquid into vapor. A small air tube in the center of the filler runs its entire length which directs vapor into a drip tip placed on the end. The drip tip is just the name vapors use for a mouth piece.

Single coil cartomizers have one heating element, dual coil cartomizers have two. Heating coils have a ohm or resistance rating, which determines the amount of energy used to heat e-liquid and turn it into vapor. A drawback to using a cartomizer is being unable to see your juice level. Cartomizers can be used alone, or be used in a cartotank which allows larger quantities of juice. Since these tanks are often clear, you can see the juice level in them.

you can also use any type of eliquid in your tank/clearo it's like a holy grail trying to find something special you like read some of the reviews in the forums maybe you will see something you like

Liath welcome to planet and you most certainly can use other juices in your tank. What sort of flavours are you currently vaping/looking for?
