Hello POTV. I am a recent convert to vaping. I gave up smoking this year (2013) with the help of Champix from my doctor. My own request because i knew that patches or gum were not going to work for me. I've always rolled my own.
Anyway, i got off the smokes about 99% but when the medication finished after about 2 1/2 months i started buying a pack of tailor made cig's here & there. Before i knew it the habit was snowballing again but i was not going to let it back in ! No sir !
I grabbed a couple of rechargeable e cig's from the supermarket & some regular strength cart's and after a week i convinced myself that i really could use these things to substitute my 26 year old habit.
I'm a fast learner if i want something & i soon upgraded to a different supplier (JAC VAPOUR, Scotland) & ended with their V1P-PCC kit, very nice but i am still refilling carts with my chosen e juice right now while i wait for my new kit to arrive.
So , i have bought the EVOD kit from Kangertech , the one with 2 650 Mah batteries & replaceable bottom coils. Seems to me to be a good next step. Just add juice & vape away !!! Hapee daze !
I have chosen to sign up to this forum exclusively for now because it has the coolest name (Kudo's) & because i feel more likely to learn something than if i don't get involved in right ?
The subject that really draws me though is the defense of the right to perform vaping without too much official interference.
Smokers have been pushed in a corner now & the future looks bleak for them, smoking outside the pub or wherever & being frowned upon everywhere they go. Since the big smoking ban ,everyone who doesn't like smoking just leaped onto the bandwagon & they all add up to be like chickens pecking at a single grain !
I actually agree with the anti smoking campaigners for the most part & would like to see a future with no tobacco. Sounds harsh i know but the stuff blighted more than half of my life so i feel i have the right to say.
Anyway. VAPING ? Seems mostly o.k to me & hands down i am off the smokes for good because of it. I agree that research about it needs to be done & that some rules & guidelines need to be in place for everyone's benefit. We don't want to be vaping dangerous products do we ?
I just hope that the governments of our countries don't simply see it as another tax bucket for them. It's my vice & the affordability of it makes it accessible to me & many other people. I'm also a realist & i don't doubt for one minute that they will in fact do just that eventually. Once they have the information from their scientists & official statistics they will put together a package which will affect us all in the U.K & then we will all feel it in our pockets. Well ,they can't have too many people having too much fun can they ?
There it is then. Greeting & respect to all.
