Apologies if this post annoys anyone that feels I should just search to find the answer myself, but I've done hours of reading forum posts about vaping equipment both before and after I bought some kit and hope people might be willing to help by recommending stuff based on what I've tried already.

I started off with the Evod starter kit from pink mule. It seemed okay but I never really felt satisfied, not so much through lack of nicotine, just the airiness and lack of vapour made it feel like I wasn't getting enough of a hit.

I'm lucky enough to have a vaping shop down the road from where I work, and I tried some e-juice flavours using their equipment which I believe are Stardust V2's, Kanger T2's both branded as their own and aClear DC's which appear to be the same thing as iClear 16's and the whole experience was much more satisfying than using my Evods.

I bought one of the aClear DC's so that I'd always have access to replaceable heads in a pinch and the vape is so much better, not so airy, a reassuring bit of resistance and much more vapour and flavour but there are two caveats. It uses a ridiculous amount of juice, it must use at least three times as much as the Evod, but I suppose that's a sacrifice I'm willing to make for the better experience. Also, the juice collects around the tip causing it to get sucked into my mouth regularly unless I undue the tip and let it drain back down everytime I take it out of my pocket, I think I'm taking on way too much nicotine because of this (using 18mg liquid) as I'm getting spasms in my eyelids, this is compounded by the fact I'm prescribed stimulants. The other thing I don't like as I've just received some wick and wire to rebuild my heads is that I can't remove the head without draining the juice.

So, what would you lovely people recommend I try next? If there was a bottom coil that had the characteristics of the iClear/aClear that'd be great. Or maybe another dual coil that doesn't have the problem with juice collecting around the tip? Rebuildable is a must.

Or maybe a VG heavy juice for the Evod, would that make a lot of difference?

Just to be thorough, to complete my setup I have a couple of the basic own branded 1300mah batteries from Pink Mule. I can't find anywhere what voltage these are and can't find my multimeter anyway (so have to hold of rebuilding my heads too, ugh).

Have a look at the aspire bdc, looks like iclear 16, but dual bottom coil and gives a warm vape.... ;)

Hi Gonloopy,

That looks like a great suggestion. Am I right in thinking that as the iClear 16 is listed as a CE5 and the Aspire that I've found is also, that I could just buy the head and screw it into the iClear 16 main clearo bit?

Ta,

Dan

Try the iCloud30b or s they are great. I still like my evod for out and about and use it with an itaste 3

Though I like bottom coils, when I want really full warm vape, lots of flavour & vapour & less airy, I use glass/metal DCTs. I get mine from fasttech, but they're just a generic tank (the smaller plastic ones aren't so good), any decent DCT should hit the spot

Ok firstly, lower your nicotine if it causes a problem. Secondly, what resistance are your coils? An EVOD battery is regulated at 3.7v and that suits a 1.8Ohm head nicely. You might find a twist/spinner/VV battery good to get the best out of your juices also.

If all else fails and you can rebuild successfully, then have another go with your EVOD (5/6 wraps with 0.2 kanthal on 2mm silica). As I'm typing my EVOD is chucking as best as it can with my own DIY coil and it actually aint half bad at all. If that doesn't work and you're still confident with your DIY coils then try a drip atty. It will noticeably improve flavour and vapour over a clearo. Please bare in mind that when rebuilding your own coils a VV/VW device will come in very handy!

Good luck
