Help please anyone. I have been vaping now for nearly 3 years and I make my own vape juice. I make 100ml at a time. I use a glass jug and put in 10ml of 18mg nicotine then 10-15 ml of concentrate then top up to 100ml with pg vg . Then stir considerably before filling bottles and leaving to steep between 1-5 days or longer for some. But always there isn't a great deal of taste. Can someone please tell me what I'm doing wrong if anything..

Hi

What concentrates brands & flavours are you using?

15ml should be enough if you are making 100ml total so maybe it needs to steep longer

Or maybe the concentrates aren't very good?

Let us know the brands and flavours and if you are mixing different flavours

Pope and brewers strawberry and banana. Capella vanilla cupcake and vampire vape strawberry milkshake. I also wondered if the nicotine mite be too high also and taking the flavour away..

Hi @tinnietel and welcome to the planet.

As Dee has said, we need to know the make and flavour of concentrate and is it a single flavour or a one shot that has pre mixed flavours. the one shots should say a % on the bottle. also is it a fruit or dessert/custard.
so with 1 nic shot your final nic strenght will be 1.5mg
stiring i dont think will be enough as it needs a vigorous shake until your arm almost drops off. some fruits can be shake and vape but a week is always worth it and desserts anything upto 2-3 months especially custards.

They are single flavour and are fruit except for the vanilla cupcake. Think ill have to shake then. Never realised that. Thank you for accepting me here. I didn't know where to go for advice.. I'm almost 70 and enjoying my vaping but just need to know I'm doing things right and I appreciate any help to make my vaping better..

Hi @tinnietel your total 100ml of vape juice your making with the ratios you say will give you an overal nic strength of 1.8mg which is fairly low but ok if its giving you the hit you desire. Some concentrates will need around 20% so you might want to increase your dosage to improve the flavour. As others have said bottle it then give it a really good shake and leave it to steep for a week if not longer.
With lots of concentrates the longer its steeped the better the flavour is.

Thank you. Will certainly be giving the juice a good shake when made now.
