Hi everyone, I've been a smoker for 20+ years, I briefly vaped with a starter kit given to me by my brother a few years ago and loved it, but I had a few dizzy spells at the time and wasn't sure if it was the vaping or not so I decided to stop. I'm now super eager to get back into it so I can cut down on the baccy a little, and because it seems like alot of fun (and I can vape indoors!). I've been reading up lately on all the terminology and are starting to get a grasp on it all.

I can see myself as a mechanical man eventually, but I'm planning to start off with a iTaste MVP v2 and a mini protank starter kit. I'm keen to create my own coil and wicks at some point so wanted something with an ohm meter, but also wanted a juicy battery too, and the MVP is a highly praised bit of kit as far as I can see. I'm thinking of the mini protank for portability, and because it is single coil (as opposed to the dual coil that comes with the MVP) so I can try both single and dual.

I am a beginner, and I'm delighted I found such a great UK forum, nice to meet you all :)

Welcome to the Planet Mate!!! The MVP's a cracking Workhorse, I use mine for Work as It Lasts me about Three Days on a Charge!!!:welcome1:

Welcome to the planet!

Great choice of kit. They should both serve you well.

Thanks for the warm welcome everyone, I look forward to getting my kit and joining the revolution :)

Excellent choice, the MPV has great threads and can handle a short (when building coils). I personally think it's a wee bit fugly, but it (or it's successor) will stay in my quiver. compact and not top heavy. great all round PVD.
Mechs are great too, but being able to alter the vape experience on the fly is a boon. Mechs require you to know what ohms you are looking for during the build. Get both, stop smoking, and enjoy your new hobby!!!
I keep a "spare M16" in much the same way as I freeze nic. In the apocalyptic, post EU Ban World, where Mel Gibson is wearing tight leathers, I'm vaping a mech and an atty made from a coke can.
