First, thank you for providing a safe haven for the vaping community :)

I've been smoking for 42 years, rolled my own cigarettes for the last 9, and over the last several, decided to dabble in the e-cig world. My first few experiences were pretty disappointing but in all fairness the technology was new, so maybe even the word "dabbling" is a bit strong lol. Anyway, after spending a few hundred dollars and nearly giving up I finally decided to see what vaping was all about. Flavors other than regular or menthol sounded intriguing so I sprung a few bucks on a little vape kit from the local quicky mart. I was impressed - now I am heading for obsessed :) Cinnamon and Chocolate are my favorite flavors and I've gone from a pack a day down to 4 cigarettes a day (something I really never intended to do). Vaping has replaced all the rest.

I'd pieced together a few $12 batteries and $6 cartomizers and was pretty happy with what I had, but decided it was time to step up just a little because the cinnamon tends to crack the plastic carts. I bought the Aspire Premium starter kit which uses the glass Nautilus mini. Awesome for about 2 weeks, the flavors were intense! My vaping experience put me in the clouds (pardon the pun) .... until the darn base got stuck. I have tried tightening the top which is supposed to make the bottom a little looser (now the top is tighter and won't budge either), I have tried using vise grips, kitchen grippers, and placing the darn thing in the freezer for 30 minutes and trying all the gripping methods over again. Either I am a massive weakling (most likely) or the darn thing has fused and refused to ever separate itself again. Not sure what to do at this point other than break the glass and get a $4 replacement!

I would visit the "vape shops" locally, but I know just enough to know that they really don't know what they are talking about, and trying to sell me a new $80-$100 set up is not going to win me over. Yes, maybe some handy dandy fellow could help a weakling woman such as myself to get the blasted thing apart, but I am kind of determined to fix it myself, broken glass or not lol. For the time being I am back to using my Mickey Mouse set up(s).

Does anyone have any suggestions? A hammer maybe??

Thanks!

Hello & welcome to the planet.
You seem to be doing the recommend things for stuck tanks.
Good luck.
Enjoy the forum.
