Greetings, I have come from afar...another forum actually :) I just got my first clone...and was told in no uncertain terms that I couldn't discuss it there. Oookay. So I am reliably informed that no such restrictions apply here.

Today I just finished copper plating my brass Stingray mod. Why? Some people climb mountains just because they are there. 'nuff said.
Here is my kit. Several different mobile chargers 5v 500ml amp, 5v 3amp and a 10v 1amp were cannibalized, some copper sulphate got from the bay and mason jars and croc. clips from local hardware store.
Total expense about £8. And my copper plated reading glasses look epic. imo.

Hey Bob, Welcome to POTV!
Copper plating looks wicked! How long did it take?

Welcome to the planet :) it doesn't matter if you talk clones, originals or just plain bollocks as long as you are vaping cis that's the important bit :D

The longest bit is thoroughly cleaning the parts, the actual plating takes no more than 5 mins. Its a great little setup for refinishing old contacts. My son and I have had quite a laugh learning to use the kit for different size/materials parts.

I may have to look at this in a bit more detail. Have some old mods that could do with snazzing up ;)
Reckon the kids would love the process too

Stainless steel is a bit of a nightmare, fyi. I'm getting some more chemicals to try and do a Woods Nickle strike that enables the plating of 304 and 316 stainless.
I wish I had a better camera, those pics don't really do justice to the mod. It didn't touch the laser engraving, so I was left with a brass inlay of the Stingray logo. :)

Hi UKVBob! Welcome to the Planet! :welcome2:

Clones aren't frowned upon here, neither are the originals, we're all vapers at the end of the day! :)

Your plating looks awesome! I love your glasses as much as the mod!

Looking forward to seeing more of your work!
