How To: Connect up a wire to the Fat Daddy Vapes 510 Connector

You want pre-solder the wire first so its a solid core and then solder it the positive pin just to make sure it soldered all the way threw.

For tight builds with a 90deg straight out of the connection I like to use a piece of 2.5mm solid copper soldered into the pin then bent, I then attach the wire to the copper pin and heat shrink it. You do need a reasonably powerful soldering iron or a little blow lamp though.

I found that saves stressing the wire with tight bends, especially as this is a moving part.

Also worth pointing out that any excess solder on/around the pin needs to be cleaned up to ensure smooth movement of the pin.

Just my way, I am sure there are plenty of others!

I do it this way too and then heat shrink it, if you want a softer solid core that is easier to bend there is silver coated copper wire.
