Hi folks my xmas pressie to myself was a load of mixing gear. Bought a range of flavourings from kandi hed, capella, one on one, perfumers apprentice, inawera, and flavour art.
The two I am trying to replicate as best I can are triphammers fizzy trifle and fruit pastilles love juice but like a slightly higher vg. I did purchase a rainbow sherbet flavouring by one on one; I tried mixing at 0.3 nic 20 and 30 pg and 80 and 70 vg respectively at 15 % first later 20% then 25% but still taste weak. I think one of my problems may be steeping, I am too eager to try!! Also no fizz.. leads me on to my main point, how do you make juice taste fizzy and full of flavour. I am not trying to be the next Tim or Grant but trying to make some nice juice.
I do have ethyl maltol, sours, sucralose, brown sugar, does any the above help with a sweeter fizzy flavour.

You hear of folk mixing at 5%, others (like me) at 25%. I suppose all our taste buds and expectations are different.

I would say you don't need to go above 20% with any actual eliquid concentrate, though food flavourings may need more, so just keep trying until you find your level.

There are those that say once you get too high you don't notice any difference anyway.

I tend to mix most flavours at 20% but obviously depends on the flavours I'm using.

As for the fizzy sensation I think Koolada causes this but maybe wait for others to confirm. Koolada also causes a cold on the throat, similar to menthol but more mild but be careful you don't over do it

always found cappella flavourings to be really weak and never had success in getting any real flavour from them.

i also tried to replicate fruit pastels as it was my adv and was going through bucketloads of the stuff. never got close. i tried loads of different concentrates that have all the flavours of fruit pastels already blended as a starting point but they were all off for one reason or another. if you get anywhere close please let me know lol

Cheers just trying to make something palatable for now. I do love the stuff have you tried the fizzy trifle

never tried the fizzy trifle, i couldn't bring myself to buy anything other than fruit pastels lol. i did try the rhubarb pastels a couple of times though, but only when they didn't have my strength of fruit pastels :)

Triacetin does this apparently but not enough research has been done to determine wether it's safe for vaping yet.. I'm still tempted to give it a go though
