Hydro Dipping

So seeing as my gold paint is starting to wear off my RX200 (I didn't like the blue so sanded it down and sprayed it) I was going to have a go at Hydro Dipping with nail polish and a few coats of clear coat.

Has anyone had any experience with nail polish hydro dipping?

I'll post some pics on this thread as I go along tomorrow, and even if it looks pants or doesn't last long it'll be better than it is now and I can always redo it!

I'm no specialist but I thought that few layers of clear lacquer should preserve the colour beneath.

Currently sat drying and I'm twiddling my thumbs, not overwhelmed with the results but it'll do for now till I get bored again. I'll post some finished pics later after clear coat has been applied

Here it is all reassembled, must say I wasn't impressed at first but now it's all back together I'm pretty happy with it. First ever attempt at hydro dipping so hopefully the next attempt goes better.
