Hi guys,

Well I took the plunge and bought a third generation vaping device. After watching a bunch of reviews I eventually went for the iTaste VTR which I thought looked super-cool and comes with a free iClear 30 s tank. The nice man at my local store even chucked in a free battery for me. So far so cool. However, this evening, I took a look at how much I've vaped and... well wow. I mean it's a TON of liquid compared to how much I normally would vape.

I'm struggling to decide if this use of liquid is because I've got a cool new mod and I've been vaping more than I usually would (probably true to an extent, but not 2ml more surely!?) or if the iClear sucks up more juice in some way than I am used to.

My normal 'rig' is a Protank 2 with a 1300 Ego battery. Over the course of an evening, I will normally vape around a ml of liquid, but I've vaped well over 2 tonight. Is it me or does this tank use more normally? I've been vaping at 3.8 v and 5.5 w on the VTR, which I think is quite low really.

I will continue to 'observe' and fortunately the protank does fit into the VTR quite comfortably so I will without doubt try a comparison of that sometime soon. Just curious if anyone else had noticed the iClears being a bit 'juicier' than the Protanks, as it were.

Thanks, happy vaping!

You will use more juice as the ic30 is a dual coil also there is a lot of wick in the ic to soak up a lot more juice

the iclear 30S is a funny one. It definitely drinks the juice quicker than a single coil device but there's all that wick too. When you first fill up an iclear 30S it seems like a ml or so gets sucked into that wick so it looks like you're getting through the juice quicker than normal. When you refill, the wicks will hopefully still be wet so the effect shouldn't be as marked the second time around.

Ahhh that makes so much sense, thanks guys. I thought I was going mad, but you're right there is a lot of wick there to soak it up, and presumably remain soaked.

As always, awesome responses - cheers :-D

Oh and the VTR is a freakin' beast, for anyone who was 'on the verge'!

yeah first time i filled up my iclear 30 with 3ml of juice and left it to soak for a few minutes i looked back and the wicks had absorbed about 1.8ml of it i was like whoa where did that go but the dual coil does vape well.
VAPE HARD.

I also had the same reaction with my iCear slightly ridiculous like 5ml in the tank almost 2 in the wick :P
