Hi Everyone, just a few pics and observations on the Innokin Coolfire II variable wattage mod. I bought this device from fairygift in China for about £40. It took several weeks to get here. Since ordering, the mod is now widely available in the UK for around that price so I may as well have waited!
The coolfire II comes in a box with a little instruction booklet (in very clear English) and a IClear30b bottom dual coil clearo. Everything worked perfectly out of the box with no modifications or fiddling required.
Some specs:
- 18350 Battery only
- Variable Wattage:
- The rotational wheel adjusts wattage to the following:
7.0, 8.0, 8.5, 9.0, 9.5, 10.5, 11.0, 12.0, 12.5
- Battery Level Indicator:
- Reverse Battery Protection Circuit.
- Built in 7A fuse for protection and stability.
- Short Circuit Protection.( 0.6 +/-0.2 ohm )
- ON/OFF battery switch.
- LED Battery Power Display.
- floating pin
- Low Voltage Warning.
- Overtime Vaping Warning (10 seconds switch cutoff).
- Battery safety protection (Vent holes).
This is a regulated device but there is no screen or display. The wattage of the device can be changed by turning this ring: This ring operates very well and clicks nicely into place. The numbers are black on black so can be a little hard to see.
I've tried several clearos on the coolfire II and they all fit fine. The floating pin works great and everything fits nice and flush. There is a ring that can be removed for larger ego threaded devices.
RDAs and RBAs also work a treat on the coolfire II, It will fire a 1.00ohm coil no problem.
Feels great in the hand, just really nice and snug. A solid feeling mod, not as heavy as the VTR but heavy enough to feel "quality". An absolute peach to operate.
Also available in green!
It's smaller than I expected. Here it is next to some other Innokins.
Niggles:
Hardly anything. The battery cover is a little stiff to screw in and the fire button is very dark. The battery indicator is hard to make out in the daylight.
The 18350 battery has been an adjustment for me, I've gotten used to my monster 3400mah batteries! Vaping pretty hard on a dual coil clearo I got about 4-5 hours on a single 18350 battery.
Verdict:
Two emphatic thumbs up! I love this little thing. It looks crazy and it vapes a dream.
OK thanks for reading this, hope it was of some interest. Please take the time to leave a comment,
have a great day,
Paul
