Innokin itaste svd battery's ?

Due to the chrome coming off my zmax for no apparent reason I'm looking at innokin itaste svd mods. The trouble I'm having is nobody can tell me if my AW2000 button top battery's will work ok in it. I understand they are protected battery's but will this cause trouble in the svd, they work fine in the zmax.

protected batteries dont always play nice with vv/vw mods because the protection inside will get confused

The Zmax is a vari volt/watt device it's self. So if the batteries worked ok in that, there's no reason why they shouldn't work in any other similar device. In theory.
Low ohm coils (below 1.8) or to high a setting (13+ watts) may be an issue.

I generally use a pro tank 2 or 3 at 1.8 ohm at 8 watts ish. I just don't want to be adding new battery's into the cost as well, not sure I can be doing with a mod I have to rebuild, so looking for something similar to the zmax as at the minute I do have a choice.
