Interesting theory about an old tuberculosis vaccine

Lmao, i actually just edited that snippet out, i could see it starting a fight, i wanted to spend my day in peace waiting for my new mod to arrive and browsing for a new rta

No one knows if it's true or not ye
Indeed, just a theory and it will remain a theory until there's any proof & until Donald Trump announces how HE (or his administration) found the cure then it must be fake news :18:

I've already had a TB jab as it was in my family but I'm not counting on it until there any evidence.

But you never know until you try and at least some scientists are exploring other avenues.

It's an interesting development. Have to wait and see if anything comes of it.

I think i've actually asked my dr about whether i ever had a tuberculosis vaccine, whether or not u have had tuberculosis seems to keep being mentioned more and more in those advertisements for new drugs they keep coming out with. I didnt realize it was still a thing u could get, kind of like polio.
After all this dies down I might just try and get it for the hell of it. I love vaccines. The only one i dont bother with is flu shots, they dont really work and as much as it would suck, im pretty sure i could fight off the flu, so give the shot to someone elderly or a kid or something

I never had it, because for whatever reason my foster mother refused to sign the form for it, so I was only one in my year at school who didn't get it, if your'e referring to the BCG thing.

Edit:

Who should have the BCG (TB) vaccine?

BCG vaccination is only recommended on the NHS for babies, children and adults under the age of 35 who are at risk of catching tuberculosis (TB).

There's no evidence the BCG vaccine works for people over the age of 35.

In the UK we used to all get the BCG vaccine as kids, not sure when it stopped

I read something about this in the last couple of days. I can't find the link now.
It was pointing out that a run on the vaccine would deprive those in poor countries that need it to control tb.

True indeed.
There seems to be a new theory every day. We all bare the mark of the bcg. And the punches in the arm we all have each other after.
I think my eldest daughter didn't get offered one and she's 30. So it's been absent a while.
As you say TB is to large and nasty a disease to be wasting vaccines on a rumour.

Way too many ads on that link page to take it seriously..
with an ad density so high its not news or reporting but just a contentious ad vehicle. ignore and move on imho.
