You see that's the kind of short snappy obvious question I like...and can't answer. More robust? Wicks more efficiently? More...meshy?

Anyone?

Is it something to do with flavour perhaps ? is there some purist issue about using material (similar to the taste of wadding in carts?).. Ive often wondered!

A tube of mesh is supposed to wick better and give particularly clean taste.
Also, in general, while rebuilding with normal fiberglass/cotton/silica normally implies throwing the wick, with mesh many scrub it clean and reuse it (obviously, you can dry burn on silica and reuse it too a few times).
Lastly, some feel mesh is safer than fibreglass to vape on.

The other thing I learned after watching Scott's review of the Line again was why Kanthal is considered superior to nic chrome ...it's less stretchy! ( the vid was reposted on the Cobra review thread at my request to show how he deoxidises the wick)
