Noticed a new IPV mod by Pionner4u today its called the vesta, looks pretty good contains the YIHI 410 chipset.
So far Cigabuy have the cheapest preorder. heres the link if you are interested. but it maybe worth waiting for others like Fasttech and Gearbest to see what price they put up, I say this because Cigabuy charge for shipping. Looks like only 2 colour schemes so far. Black or black and red

My mate has bought a couple of ipv's, namely the 6 and the 8 and both have stopped working within weeks. Autofiring, settings changing for no reason etc. I know there are well documented problems with the 6 but he has basically washed his hands with Pioneer and I don't blame him.

This one looks good but again, from my personal experience, the later models seem to suffer quality wise imo. Shame as the earlier models seemed a lot more robust. Jury is out with me until the reviews start flooding in.

Thats not good for your mate pal. I have a d2 an ipv5 a 6x and an IPV8 none have had any issues and the d2 is a year and half, the ipv5 over a year old the 6x and 8 are a few months old but no probs so far.. I prefer my DNA's and also the SX350's and q class i own. But for the price point the ipv's are really good, just a shame a few folks have had bad experiences with them. The problems can really be just bad luck. I have a mate on here who has had problems with about 4 different DNA's. any electrical items can break as said some folks just seem to have a lot of bad luck. Will i buy the Vesta? i may well do but it will mean selling off something as i have quite a few mods, the ipv5 is going to a mate soon so maybe the Vesta will come in as that goes out. Just to see what the 410 chipset is like. I will however look at a few trusted reviewers and what they have to say first

Thats a shame for your friend, I have a IPV D2, D3, 3 LI, 5, and IPV 8, and have found them to be solid mods. I did have an issue with the D2 after a lot of use, but this was fixable after a clean out.

The IPV3 Li is my second dual 18650 mod if I remember correctly, after the OG Sigelei 150, so has had a lot of use. The only thing I don't like is the touch sensor, I turned that off after spilling juice on it and it started to fire.

I know there were some issues with a specific model but I have a 3li and a 4 as my 2 work beater mods, daily use, the 3li is two years old and has never missed a beat......I did turn off the touch sensor too though because that was just annoying

I really wanted an IPV8, but it seems P4U don't cater for right-handed thumb firers.

This one's the same, I'd be forever adjusting the wattage with my palm.

We could always cut off your thumbs above the first knuckle hehe :D ;) :).

Properly stored they could be reattached once you've become a right handed forefinger firer pmsl :D.

Or, we remove ya right hand ;).

Or I could learn to use it in my left hand............

I started with the IPV MINI Then had a 4s a 5 and a 400. I had problems with the 5 and the 400. The 5 had a bad firing button and the 400 had the 510 threads come loose and the mod is junk. I had bought a couple of the SX PURE tanks and loved the tank. It took a while to find elements for the tank but as soon as I did the 400 took a crap on me. I hope the reviews come back good for the newest one so I can go back to using my SX PURE tanks. I can't belive how bad the 5 and 400 were!!!

My IPV4s is brilliant - super strong and a real workhorse
My IPV6x pretty much fell apart with various faults within 1 month (AND was subject to a recall over the reverse polarity problem)

Seems to me that they are inconsistent at best.....
