A best place to start with building a mod? Looking at a build but dunno if it's better to make something else or dive straight in?

Ideally I'd like a kit first to practice on cos I'm rather bad a diy lol

I would suggest you start by looking at modmaker.co .uk. They have all the parts you should need.

I think they are looking to put a kit together in the future but nothing at the moment, if you look in the info section there are some good diagrams to help.
