Is this a realistic idea?

Yesterday I saw this:-

...and I thought, that could make a very cool mod.

They actually do three types of tin, a tall round one and a square one, any of which would be fun.

I know nothing about electrical stuff (although i can follow instructions). I was wondering how feasible it would be to turn this into a mod?

I recon quite easy because it's big, but the flip side is the metal is really thin so very easy to deform..

Its very feasable, but two probs, 1- size, that tins huge to hold, 2- its thin as said, so its quite weak, but , its basically no different to a baccy tin mod,

Thanks guys.

I think it might work better if i started off with something a little more vintage. I'll be keeping my eyes open.

I love that tin, especially if you can(pun intended) go from the bottom there by not destroying the look, and using the lid for the 510

My thought was to go a little more steampunk, and cut a panel in the back and have a bolt on brass plate. It would be nice to put a brass lever button on the side, and have a brass atty on top. All the brass highly polished and just the polish bottle looking old and tatty.

Sounds like a good idea, but if you cut the back off your gonna cause two issues I can see, both of which are solvable though

1- substantially weaken the tin
2- that tin will be beyond razor sharp

You can sort this by creating some kind of ferrule(I think that's the right name) which will be a permanent fixture on the tin, and screw the back plate onto that, think nesquick powder lid

My thought was to do a bit of a ship-in-a-bottle trick. To take small pieces of wood and shape them to make a cabinet inside. Once they all fit together like a puzzle, glue it together with feathers. The hole in the back could then sit in a recess in the frame.

This is typical of me. It is already an epic project.

So why you asking for help, lol, I think if your sure you can do it and it will turn out how you want it then go for it, it seems like one of those projects that sounds way way too much work but when you see it its beautiful,
I personally think you should go for it, it sounds like you know how,
