To remove a DNA 200 chip/board from a broken wismec mod and reuse it in a custom box mod???

I've wanted to try and make my own box mod for a while now. but for my first attempt I'm not keen on spending around £50 on a new chip/board which i may end up ruining. (Due to me being a complete noob at this)

So I have a wismec DNA 200 which won't recognise my batteries as being in the mod. I figured it's a problem with the battery door so the board inside should be fine.... right????

Could it be removed without damaging or am I wasting my time???

Can't say for certain but I am yet to find a mod I can't get the chip out of and back in without killing it
As for wisemec I've had the standard non dna board out before so I guess the dna will come out just as easy

I just managed to get the chip out of my releaux 200 , managed to keep all the battery contacts wired up and intact too ! Took me an hour of wiggling and dismantling , but it's definitely possible !
