Well I've just finished work and I'm about to mix my first lot of juice.

I've got the following flavours at hand:

Capella
Blueberry
Cinnamon Danish v2
Vanilla Custord v2
Graham Cracker v2
Sweet Strawberry
Super Sweet

Perfumers Apprentice
Strawberry ripe
Bavarian Cream dx

I'm going to mix the flavours at 15% to start with, some straight single flavours and also a few mixed and just see what they taste like.

It really surprised me just how cheap all the ingredients were so that takes the pressure off making anything thats unvapable.

On a side note, I've been vaping for almost a week and haven't touched a cig or even wanted one since starting!

I think I'm becoming more addicted to the taste lol

I'll let you all know how the mixes turn out.

Well I ended up making the following all at 40/60 PG/VG 12mg

10ml Blueberry 15%

10ml Vanilla Custard 8%, Bavarian Cream 7%, Super sweet 1%

10ml Cinnamon Danish 8%, Vanilla Custard 4%, Bavarian Cream 3%

10ml Sweet Strawberry 8%. Strawberry Ripe 7%

10ml Sweet Strawberry 4%, Strawberry Ripe 4%, Vanilla Custard 6%, Graham Cracker 3%

I've got enough shop bought juice to last me a week so I'll let them steep until then for a test.

Fingers crossed they taste OK!

Agree with chopper, custards and creams need a longer steeping time for the complex flavour notes to come out and everything starts to blend together.
Let us know how you get on?

Yeah I'm going to leave the custards and creams much longer, but I want to taste them after a week just so I can identify what changes they go through.

I'm quite intrigued by it all to be honest, I'm interested to know how slight additions and differences in % will affect the overall flavour.

I've also been reading about speeding up the steeping process in hot water. I'm going to make a fresh custard in a weeks time, speed steep it in hot water and let it rest for a day then compare it to the one that's a week old.

I can see this becoming a new hobby, rather than just a means to giving up smoking :-)

Thanks for the replies @chopper and @bigbluenose , I'll keep you updated.

Good luck with it. But I'm firmly against any speed steeping. It never works as well as time works, the hot water baths to me are a waste of time, minimal changes for the same timescale as non heated liquid. A couple hours breathing (no more than a couple hours) a week helps

Well done on quitting the stinkies though. Just a couple of tips for you DIYwise.
The Capella super sweet is a potent flavour and an absolute coil killer. Use at 1 drop per 10ml rather than 1%. CAP super sweet is basically sucralose, which is used in an awful lot of the 'premium' American juices and is quite overpowering. I prefer using ethyl maltol to sucralose because of the candy floss flavour of EM rather than the pure sugar flavour of sucralose. Don't know if you've seen this before or not but great YouTube channel DIY or die has a very good in depth look at flavour enhancers

Secondly, once you start mixing more than 10ml batches, invest in a set of scales that measure to 0.01grams (yes, the same as a weed dealer) it'll make your mixing a hell of a lot easier, and cheaper as it eliminates the need for multiple syringes and blunt tipped needles

To add, the video I've linked above I only use ethyl maltol and MTS vape wizard, but they only need a very small amount to work

In terms of using scales, what are the conversions between ml and grams? wouldn't those values change depending on the density of the liquid I would imagine by ml undiluted VG would weigh more than PG.

Use an online eliquid calculator and it will give you measurements in ml grams and drops.
