Hi all, hoping someone can help.

My girlfriend has a joyetech egrip 2 and it's always harsh to vape, she has used it for a month now and is on to her second coil but it is always harsh and she can't draw for longer than a second or two before it makes her throat sore.

She has tried different liquids and as I said changed coils, she even keeps the wattage super low like 20w, what can we do to make it a better experience for her?

I got a vaporesso mod and it's annoying her that mine is smooth and enjoyable while hers just puts her off and makes her want a cigarette again.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks.

The wattage all depends on your coil mate..
Harshness could be the juice being too much P.G or nicotine..but also many things..
What coil are you using? And what ohm.?
What eliquid are you using?
What cotton are you using.?
Is it used for mouth to lung like smoking or direct to lung ie sucking straight down..

The coil is a notch coil that came with the kit, it's currently reading 0.53 ohm.

The juice is all 70% vg, 3mg nicotine.

Its used mouth to lung.

Like I said I use a vaporesso mod and have no issues whatsoever, using the same liquid.. I set hers up the same, primed the coil, even let it sit for an hour or so, few dry pulls before firing, but it just seems to be harsh in the throat.

Ive used notch coils a long time ago and found them very harsh.
Is there another coil option?

Did you give new tank a mega wash out before use?
Maybe cotton too tight..

a Month on a stock coil is long! .5ohm with 3mg 70/30 is more a DL set up and not mtl. 20 watts isn’t high with that coil so it’s not too hot.

If she likes your tank then maybe get her one of those?

Alternately I’d suggest she get something around 1-1.8 ohms and toots around 10-17watts and see how she gets on

As its a kit built in tank job we cant change the cotton or anything like that. It might be worth washing the tank out but I've seen several reviews of this unit and everyone seems to like it and hasn't had these issues.

It was harsh from the start, weve tried two coils with the same results. She hasn't been using it much due to the harshness.

It's a dtl with full open airflow. It does have an adapter to add a separate tank on so maybe that would be the way to go rather than using the built-in tank

just replied to your other post but will post the video here as well.

might be worth trying your vaporesso tank on the mod to see if thats smooth. if it is then naff coils.

Maybe get her a mod just like yours (Maybe a different color to tell them apart) if yours does not hurt her throat

Edit: she must really wanna quit if she's been putting up with it for a month. I wouldn't of.
I wanted to quit, but I woulda waited til I got a better mod.... that shit woulda pissed me off .... just sayin... you gotta keeper there dude!
