I don't know but from the looks of it I'm guessing it's something like titanium carbide .... I expect Joyetech will want to keep it quiet to try and stop all the other companies copying it. But I did read it was a metallic compound.... so not ceramic.

lol.... from Latin quasi ‘as if, almost’ ?

I'm pretty sure that Tungsten is a recognised health risk.

They are 0.5ohm per plate, coming out at bang on 0.25ohm overall. The coating is intended to protect against degradation, which must have been done to help the plates reach the extremely long lifespan Joyetech have stated.
