unusual mod you have there!

LOL keep dreaming!

if i was to buy for istance a strawberry concentrate.. and it arrives and its red in colour is that a natural red? or a synthetic) and then what are the ingredients of concentrates?

PG VG and nic are all well researched and safe. They've used all of these in assorted medicines over the years, that's why we know they are safe.

Flavourings are essential as without them few people would vape at all. Colourings aren't. However some people like pretty colours. I know MrKraken colours his liquids (and offers no colour versions) and has researched which are more likely safer ones so would know more.

One thing that grinds my gears is peoples assumption that "natural" is much better/safer then "synthetic"

*everything* is made of chemicals, and in some instances synthetic is actually better than natural. It's not that black and white.

yeah fully aware of the decasdes of research on pg vg and nic, its just what actually goes into flavourings thats the unknown element that the anti ecig brigade are likely too jump on and calim are fully of evil things thats going to put us all in early graves

I'd personally not go further than 'safe enough' to be honest... with the inhalation of VG and PG at the quantities we vape. 'Safe' alone is too strong a claim until long-term trials are complete. There are still unknowns... mostly coupled with the thermal decomposition of coil/tank materials, a process which in vaping also involves some reaction with the diluents... all of which are not part of the 'used in inhalers' argument (no heat) or relevant with regard to other methods such as ingestion or skin-absorbtion (the most common form of medicines).

I'm really curious as to what Dr. Farsilinos has found. We'll have to wait and see :D

I still stand by Long Term in medical terms is a years time. Many of us are past the years time and arent dead...Thats good enough for me.

I wondering if Farsalino's findings are about Diacetyl or Vanilin... I can't imgaine it to be much of anything else..perhaps colourings or sweeteners.

Aye. Don't get me wrong... I'm gloriously happy with 'safe enough' and can't see - as yet - from where ill-health or death can creep, in e-cig terms... even considering a lifetime of use.

The good doctor may have found something unexpected, I suspect, and potentially troubling.

As the call was for as large a variety of liquids as possible - and not from manufacturers in general or a single manufacturer... I'd guess (as in guess) that it's not a problem with VG or PG, per se.

I'd also guess (as in guess) that it may not be from a known ingredient, otherwise the call would have been for a full and complete ingredient listing from manufacturers.

It may be substances in combination... but yeah... very curious :D

Surely the golden amber colour of vanilla custard is enough to get anyone excited

He's said that it's something that's not been brought up before so it's unlikely to be Diacetyl.

We've been vaping Vanillin (in RY4) for about a decade now so it's unlikely to be that.

We're not going to release more flavours (apart from the one we have made that's steeping) until we know what the issue is and will obviously take steps to make sure our liquids don't contain whatever it is.

Hopefully it's not a wide ranging issue and won't take too much fixing.

i think thats going to be a mute point considering how frequently people changes tanks and coils. even in non rebuildables ( or the premade type like protanks and the like ) the coils arent used to long enough to acheive such a state and i dont think heat is ever going to be an issue as again tempeartures ambient to the tanks themselves is very low. Again also the materials used for tanks attys and the like are not unknown and have been around for many many yearsand you may as well argue you have as much risk from picking up
contaminants from your daily used coffee cup!

There's nothing moot about it. The coils emit particles as you pulse them... whenever you make them glow... and (to a lesser degree) whenever they are heated... so the moot point is actually the duration of use. Unless you quit vaping, ofc. Just because you switch a coil out after an hour's use doesn't mean you're not inhaling particles.

Though the act of drinking coffee (ingesting) has been around for a while, the act of inhaling it hasn't... and the effects on the body are completely different. Expand that concept to include stainless steel, copper, plastics, nichrome etc etc... and the liquids... and the liquids in combination with the non-liquids...

Make sense?
