Hey one and all, this is my intro post! So my smoking habits have been all over the place for a while... anything from 1-2 analogues a day to disposable e-cigs to 10+ a day and now after 5 days completely clean ive decided to go for a vapour setup to stop me killing anybody... I've bought a Protank II mini with ego twist starter setup from Elegant vapour and can't wait to get started with it... I've been having a browse on here and all the talk of mods and different coils and whatnot has made my head spin a little but i'm sure ill have all kinds of different set ups in no time :woot:

Hiya !
Glad you found us , Welcome.

Beware, we are addictive, it's not just the shinies..

Hi there - congrats on going clean!

Bet you'll love vaping xx

To be fair i've always loved the process of blowing smoke and pretty much hated the harsh taste of cigs, so i'm looking forward to trying to some more interesting fruit flavours and the infamous custards...

I've opted to start on 6mg juice as i've been nicotine free for 5 days and never had a 30 a day habbit or anything... hopefully that will keep the rage at bay haha :D

Thanks for the welcome! Got my eyes on an MVP 2 already lol

Nice to meet you :)

I would advise you to have a higher mg juice on standby, 6mg is really quite low for a first juice. If you don't want to dual fuel the last thing you want is a stressful moment and to find the 6mg ain't hitting the spot. It might also be useful for social occasions, when the urge to smoke is that much greater.

Welcome to POTV!
Well done on the quit! You may even want to try a 0 nicotine juice, maybe? After 5 days, you're nearly completely free of the nicotine addiction, it's mostly psychological now. You just need to find what works for you :)

Good luck, and keep us posted!

Cheers guys, my first attempt with e-cigs was via a skycig starter box. I went completely cig-free whilst using the skycig set and only went through 3 cartridges and eventually went on to a nicotine free taurine based cartridge they brought out called the NRG. I tend to find that if im stressed and can just leave the situation and puff on something it calms me down quite well and like Panter said, the worst of the nicotine is out of my system and it'll be 7/8 days by the time I even get the new kit, so I really want to try not to go about the 6mg liquids. The price of smokes nowadays is beyond stupid and that alone is enough to put me off panic buying a pack so hopefully a little will power and some low mg juice will get me through :)

Hi SuzukiRock

I think for you starting on 6mg is a good idea as you've said you've been nic free for 5 days and seems like you can cope without nic for a while.

I dont see see the point in giving your body more nic if you can get by on 6mg.

Sounds a really good approach :)
I had a go with the original skycig, a Year or Two ago but just got frustrated with them. The vaping kit now is just so much better.
Probably just knowing that you're taking in nicotine, even at a really low level, will be enough to give you the effect you're after.
Main thing is, not smoking. As long as you're not doing that...you're winning!

I think the important thing for me is finding a viable long term replacement for smoking. I went 5 months with just the skycig and a further 3 months nicotine free, then stupidly bought a 20 deck for a night out giving myself the old "ill just smoke while im having a drink and quit again tomorrow" line... bang! back to a full time habit within a week. So right now im not looking to trade down for a few weeks and then go cold turkey, ill just start adding in some 0mg juices and slowly increase my use of them over time :D
