Kandi Hed Orange Tic-Tac

So i got this concentrate after starting another thread the other day. MIxed up a 10ml bottle:

15% concentrate
50/50 PG/VG
6mg nic.

Tried it straight away, slight orange but nothing like tic-tacs. Winged it and chucked another 5% concentrate in and stuck it in the drawer (3days). Sat here bored tonight so thought that i would stick a few drops on a dripper. Well it ain't tasting like the orange tic-tacs that i remember. So has anyone had any experience with this concentrate, are they're any tips of tricks with it and do i need to add anything else. It tastes slightly sweet which isn't what i was expecting, i anticipated a more bitter / sour taste?

I did notice that the flavouring splits from the PG base (i can see the distinct different coloured bands) but gave it a good shake before adding. Bizarrely on the bottle it says "start with 5%" which led me to believe that it was going to be quite strong?

Test it's vapability by putting a drop of concentrate on water, see if it floats anything like oil would, as if it's separating out once mixed I'd be wary of it.

If the water test proves okay, then next job is to get it to release the flavour. I don't have that particular brand, but I do have an orange concentrate and it is quite strong as I rarely need more than 10% in a high vg juice to get my taste buds drooling.

Sorry i should have been clearer, it separates in the concentrate bottle, small slightly yellow layer on top of a larger clear layer. I assumed that the small yellow layer was the flavouring and the larger clear layer is the PG. Once the concentrate is mixed with PG/VG and nic it doesn't separate. On the flavouring front, i have emailed the vendor as it states "startat 5%" on the bottle - that would lead me to believe that it should be quite strong. I put a drop on my finger and tbh it doesn't taste like orange tic-tac, just slightly sweet.

I would have emailed the vendor to, I said I've not used that brand so can't comment on the percentages needed but if you used 15+% and it still tastes very weak then the "concentrate" sounds like it is wrongly described ☺

Just a quick update:

The vendor got back to me and admitted that they added the wrong flavour to the bottle, have refunded the whole sale including the p&p and are sending out 2 free bottles of concentrate of my choice. I have emailed the vendor back asking if i should be concerned at as to what they have actually put in the bottle by mistake. Will update again when i get a reply.

orange tic tacs used to be my all day vape so i spent a fair amount of time trying to get one right as i absolutely used to love the TW one from their patriot range but it wasnt cheap....so tried a few and never got it right

as for the seperation i got this a couple of times and it was the orange flavour that wouldnt dilute properly.

as an aside to this flavour i mix black jack for the mrs and anything higher than 50/50 towards the vg side and it goes cloudy and doesnt mix well at all ...so maybe this needs to be taken into consideration

Same here mate, trying to emulate the TW one, same reasons. I suspect that you're right with the separation, it smells a bit like orange but nothing like it should. I think that they are going to email back and say that they used another orange instead of the one that they should have.

the closest i got was an orange from ltecigs but it also had the worst seperation and was wary about vaping it so gave up

on the TW forum people posted what they had done to mix it but i found even after a good steep it wasnt very good....if memory serves it was there gold range of concentrates and used mandarin, marmalade and then the menthol....will try find the thread when i get chance and edit the post
