Kangertech coils

Hi all
I had some kangertech 0.5 stainless steel shop bought coils that was going to use in temp mode on my topbox .Just as I started to take a draw of it I knew it was to hot and stopped .Went as low as possible in C/F and still hot so I then set to watts instead .Now today I got myself some 1.2 stainless steel ones not tried in temp mode as yet will these be OK to use .

UPDATE I now have bought the genuine stainless steel coils that have the pink seal at the bottom. these also won't work in temp mode .So maybe bad batch of coils or my mod is faulty the ni200 coil it came with worked fine in temp mode and it work fine in watt mode

The SSOCC heads dont use SS wire, its kanthal.

They are supposedly SS according to Kangertech but on their site they only talk about using them in power mode. Not sure why that is or whether they are suitable for TC or not. I know some SS coils are not suitable for TC because they have no-resistance-wire legs.

Thanks for reply I have only used them in watt mode until I can find out more about them kangertech needs to be a bit more clearer with info can be misleading

SS refers to the casing. There is a SS wire version, but they are hard to find atmo.

@ dansus that is the bit I was confused with thought it was stainless steel wire
So kathnal is used in both Clapton and stainless steel coils
