So I have had a kayfun lite clone sitting for a while and just had a few days off so have it a go. Went ok but flavour not there but loads of vapour. This is with single coil. Coil seams ok I've tried a few and I am doing well on my kangers coiling my own.
I've tried cotton but the favour doesn't seam to be there like my mini protank 2 ( I did try a nature vape coil ) prehaps I've been spoilt

So back to the Kay fun. Coils I'm aiming at are 1.5. Which I've got a 1.6 on a 2 mm screw driver that's all ok I think it's the wicking where I'm going wrong. 1st one was ok but not a lot of flavour then I tried again I then got flooding. Cleaned up started again.
I have some cotton yarn given to me and tried that with like a nest that was better and I did raise the coil.

It's still not anywhere near the mini protank tho.
Where am I going wrong.

Any tips or more info just ask.

Double strand navy nest was my favourite silica build on a Kayfun, but I must admit I find the cotton microcoil easier and tastier.

How high of the centre are you supposed to go ? And as for wicks is it so to touch the deck and tight upto the wall ?

The problem that you are experiencing is caused by failure to wick. This may be due to either the wicks not touching the juice, or are jammed too tightly and bunched up, causing restriction and preventing good juice flow to the coil. Simple coil and wick builds are best for the Kayfun as they are very user friendly and foolproof. A lot of Kayfun user problems are caused by trying over complicated builds in an attempt to correct a problem that would not have been there in the first place if an initial simple build was made and fitted correctly.
A simple simon Kayfun build, comprising of a doubled bit of 2mm silica (or one piece of 3mm voodoo/eko if that's your thing), fitted to the posts, and 'stuck up the chimney', excess trimmed to a smidgen above chimney height and pushed, gently, back down to the deck, is 100% fool proof, and works 100% of the time. But only if you man up and just do it, instead of fussing and worrying about juice channels and/or where the wick is sitting.
As with most things vaping, simple is often better.

Try the Grimm Green re-build for the Kayfun Lite, I'm using his wicking method and 29 AWG Kanthal wrapped for a 1.6 - 1.8 ohm resistance single coil. I'm getting all the flavour I need on an MVP2 at 4 volts. In a direct comparison, Kayfun Lite clone vs Kanger mini Pro 3 tank using a NatureVape DCD pro coil, I prefer the flavour from the Kayfun lite. But that's just my opinion. The NatureVape DCD pro coil cost me £9.50 delivered, the Kayfun Lite clone from Fasttech cost me £8.60 and is what got me started building my own coils.
