Hello Peeps,

I have 3 Kayfun v4 genuine. For the first time since I have bought them I spent sometime testing out all three tanks at the same time with the same juice.

Tank 1. Original first Kayfun v4. Juice flow is restricted but cannot see where.
Tank 2+3: Kayfun v4 tank 3 wick the best, I mean it a noticeable difference. Tank 2 is Middle ground. Definitely restricted like tank 1 but not as bad.

I have decided to drill out the holes. To do them properly or just make them slightly bigger for better wicking because I know what my tank 3 can do and I am happy with that.

Can anyone tell what type of shop I need to look for get the holes drilled? Don't have the tools at home and don't trust myself either.

Will get the top tank hole and the based liquid feed holes for the wick, drilled out or just spaced a bit wider.

As I mentioned in my thread the other day, sounds like a problem with your build.

I have owned 3 x Kayfun V4 clones now and never had wicking issues, I havent heard of anyone drilling out the wick holes.

How thick is the juice?

Moti, yourself and juggles have both given advice. I followed this advice and managed to get 2 Kayfun v4 wicking without issue. I can gain them down very nicely now. My issue is mostly with the my first Kayfun v4. I have to shake it a lot before the liquid flows properly. I have 3 and 2 work fine. Might be learning still but I am not that limited. Thank you.

Maybe mention it to the guys at Cloud 9 if you think the device is not made as it should be.

For the price you shouldnt have to put up with this IMO, and the guys at C9 are renowned for customer service.

I would check it out with them, they may be able to swap out for you or replace the part with the wick holes etc.

Moti...will do. Honestly, I would of never figured it out but yourself and juggles gave some good advice and I followed it. All Friday I was chaining down my Kayfun at 15w without issue. No wicking issues at all. Then tried tank 2 and it worked a bit better but need to test it again. My first tank though simply does not wick as well. Will get in touch with c9

Your welcome for the advice, happy to help and glad your making progress.

I would get in touch about the first one like you say, when you pay out £140+ for an atomizer, you shouldnt have to put up with niggles like this, especially when the £10 clones dont seem to be having the issues you have.

Sounds like it has a manufacturing defect to me.

bhoot worth stripping down completely to see if any swarf is blocking the hole (crap left over from when machined) if it is it's sometimes possible just to loke it out with something small and sharp... and that might be all it needs... i've had that with air flow holes. .. if not a friend with a dremel or small drill is your best bet... check the one that doesn't wick as well against the one that works best first. .. and check o rings or anything else aren't causing the obstruction. .. compare both good tank and less good side by side and it should be obvious if the holes on one are less good... also why... if it's cause of position or size etc... if someone is drilling it out for you the one that does work will serve as a guide to where the other one needs improving. ..
