Low voltage, low ohm question

Newbie question probably but I was wondering....
If you build a lowish ohm coil and run it at lower voltage, does it drain your battery less?
Will the battery last longer and will you get the same vape as say a 2ohm coil at about 3.5V?

The current used on a lower resistance coil is higher, but it is the power used that dictates the heat produced.
Voltage divided by resistance equal current.
4.5v / 1ohm = 4.5Amp
3.5v / 2ohm = 1.75Amp
4.5v / 2ohms = 2.25Amp

Power (W) = V x I(Amps)
4.5 x 4.5 = 20.25 Watts
3.5 x 1.75 = 6.125 Watts
4.5 x 2.25 = 10.125 Watts

The Power used (Watts) will determine how quickly your battery is drained. This will be affected by the working range of the battery.
Drawing a lot of power quickly, will usually hammer the battery harder than staying in it's nominal working zone.

("post quick reply" doesn't seem appropriate here! lol)

Thanks for the info. It looks like I'm running things about right then. My coil is around 1.8ohm and 3.5v. It vapes well so I don't know why I'm asking. I appreciate the help.

3.5 / 1.8 = 1.95
3.5 x 1.95 = 6.8 watts

I run my Protanks and Vivis around 6.5 - 8 watts, so sounds good to me. ;)
