I changed my coil today to a mini V2 A2 0.2ohm dual coil which has Smok reccomendation of 85-105 watts.

I was previously using a mini v2 A1 0.17ohm single coil which has recommendation of 110-150 watts but I used it mostly at 60 watts with no problems.

Is it ok to lower the wattage than reccommended?

I have tried my current coil head (0.2) at 85-90 watts but find that it is too harsh/powerful than what I got from the previous coil head, or do I simply need to use into the coil?

Vape as low as you want as everyone has their own sweet spot.
You will know when you turn wattage down too low as you won't get any cloud or flavour out of it.

The recommended wattage doesn't mean anything/ It is what the manufacturer deems is correct but its all down to personal feeling. When I used a smok TFV8 I used the coils that were recommended for 130w I did them at 80.

I don't think I ever get anywhere near the recommended wattage on any of my stock coils

I seldom go near the maker's recommendations on stock coils, whereas my home made coils tend to be made of much thicker or multi-strand wires that can take monster voltages, so it isn't simply a matter of xOhms is best at yWatts, you just have to fiddle until you find what works for you personally. What I would say is that on some types of coils if you go too low on the power the juice doesn't fully vaporize and you could end up with juice in the mouth, but as I said, all you can really do is experiment. You may even find that two different juices on the same type of coil need different amounts of power.
